Howdy,,,brand new so like most new fellars,,needing help. I have a 2002 Explorer 4.0 with a bad engine that got a little hot Got the engine tore down and rings on three pistons were stuck on pistons. Couldn't really see where head gasket might of been leaking,,?? Oreillys nor Autozone have a manual as I need the rod and main journal sizes to order the correct size new bearings.
I'm just curious,,is this style of engine really that good for ford to approve the building of it?? I mean WHY did they go to the rear chain that requires pulling the engine when all the previous designs were satisfactory????????
