[5.0 Apache]

Hello all, I am new to this site, thanks for having me. The reason for joining is because I inherited my dad's 1958 Chevy Apache truck which is really cool truck but I am a Ford guy. So my idea is to put a Ford engine in a Chevy truck. I came across a 96 explorer with a 5.0 running and everything for $1200. Im thinking I could basically transfer engine, tranny, differential, computer to my dad's truck. I have never seen a 58 Apache with a Ford engine, who knows. A lot of people put chevy engines in old Ford vehicles so why not do the opposite? I know a lot of Chevy people will not like that but its my project. What do you all think. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forum. That would be cool, then put a 5.0 Fox body Mustang fender emblem on it.
