Greetings fellow Explorer forum members...

Having recently retired - 42+ years in Information Technology - I'd been searching for the right fit to replace my 01 Chevy Blazer.. So, I guess its sort of retirement for the black on black LT Blazer too (can't complain - still a very reliable truck).

Anyway, I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2019 Explorer Sport (CarMax offering)... As part of my research leading up to actual purchase, I'm looking for information regarding warranty.. CarMax has MaxCare and I believe there is some warranty period left on the 2019 Sport I'm interested in.. I'm also going to look into what a Ford dealership could offer...

Would appreciate any thoughts on coverage (is it worth having? (a quick internet search suggests Endurance & CarChex are at the top regarding used car warranties)..

Welcome Joe. After spending 24 years working in many new car dealerships if you choose an extended warranty only purchase a Ford branded warranty, do NOT purchase an "no name" warranty.

You are welcome Joe. A lot of dealerships will sell the "no name" aftermarket warranty & sell it at the Ford warranty price to make more profit.
