My name is Jessica and I own a 1993 Ford Explorer with a 94 Ranger engine, 35" tires, flow master exhaust and a nine inch total lift. I had found out yesterday that my reverse will not work nor will the truck back up when pushed in neutral. I'm sure it is the transmission, but I am hopes it isn't. If it is and I have to sell it, does anyone here have any idea what I could get out of it? I live in Oregon. Thank you.

Welcome to this forum! Check the adjustment of the shift linkage.

Sounds like it is stuck in park.

Probable cause: z-link, broken/bent.

Easiest fix on an a4ld auto trans.

Can be done with out pulling the trans.
