Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me in the last couple weeks. I am now the proud owner of a 1999 Eddie Bauer 2wd V8 It is a clean 1 owner with 45k

It has a lot more bells on it than I wanted, more things to go wrong I'm sure. Next post to address this.

1) Yea for XEB!
2) Yea for 2WD! (if you are gonna be on the street)
3) Yea for the V8!

Great Choice In Vehicles! Congrats!

Nice one !!!!
99 with 45k is pretty respectable too.
She is gonna have a good life ahead

Nice work Sonny,

If I may start your list of mods I would do the following relatively soon to ensure long, long life for your X:

Swap your engine oil, tranny and diff oil for synthetic (if not already)
Get a tranny cooler and/or remote tranny filter
Get cold air intake
Catback exhaust
Chip

That's for starter...there are many more guys who will help you spend your $$ but its usually worth it.

Again, congrats...

Thanks everyone, only got to drive it about 60 miles since yesterday afternoon when I got it, its a drag to have to work for a living...

Oil will be the first thing this weekend. Tell me about the cold air intake, catback and for sure the Chip, I have heard about these chips. What will I gain with the above 3 mods. What should I expect to pay for each?

My last Ford a E150 van no chips for it, but just turned 208k on original motor. I really like to maintain them. I do most repairs myself, these newer autos are a little harder.

Thx. Sonny

congrats, the eddie bauer is a great choice!!
