new power acoustik amp

would the new power acoustik amps be any good for powering a kicker comp 12. would 980 watts be to much power for the sub if it even goes up that high.

seeing as tho they overrate thier amps power output id say u will probably be safe running that amp bridged to the kicker sub.
My friend has a 1600 watt bridged max Power Acoustik amp powering one Audiobahn rated at 500watts rms..
It gets plenty loud and sounds decent too.. He just keeps the gains down so it doenst distort..

Power Acoustik amps are not the best in the world.. but for the price they cant be beat. Several of my friends have em.. and one has an old 500watt PA amp thats runnin strong after 3 years.. and its had soda spilled on it and all that crap
