New ride!

Well, he LOWERED it, so step one is to get it back to stock height. I'm not sure exactly what he did to lower it though. Almost looks like he just removed the front shocks, and that's it. I'm gonna buy the one that's missing, and put them both back in, but I'm not sure it would pick it back up again. I am trying to keep it fairly cheap though, so I don't see any of these crazy golf cart upgrades going into it.

Use that sliding board in the background for a ramp and let's see what kind of flex it's got.

Actually, it's not bad. I picked it up with the jack when I was trying to put the motor mount bolt back in. Shoulda got a picture of it.

I think you need to invest in some Nitrous for that thang!!:burnout:

BTW, if you need custom parts, check out Jake's Carts . They're about half a mile away from me here and I worked with the owner's wife until she quit to help with the business last month.

Pretty cool! You missed the part where I said "cheap". :D Right now the wife wants 2 things. 1) A quieter cart, and 2) headlights. Number 2 isn't needed unless I can quiet it down, since she will probably never drive the way it is. Might just need an exhaust gasket. Don't want to spend the money on a new muffler. It's a 2 stroke, so that probably explains it somewhat.

No work on the cart today. Had to start on the garage for it. ;)

The left side needs to come up about 1and1/4".
Is that a bottle of Nehi Orange?

Ummm, how can you see 1 1/4" from a 480 pixel photo?!

Darn! Came home last night and wife tells me the cart died on the way to the pool. Neighbor had to give her a tow with his cart. :) Tonight I go out to see what's wrong, put a gallon of gas in it, and she's good to go! Then we're truckin' down the road hit a bump, and my speed about doubled. SWEET! So I stop to chat with a neighbor and something was getting hot. Went to take off again and it struggled to start and wouldn't go. Somehow the drive belt flipped over and got caught on top of the clutch and the start must have been fighting the clutch ... and the clutch won. I think I might have burned out the starter, which really bites, 'cause they ain't cheap. Guess the rest of the paint job will have to wait. Also guess I'll be trying my hand at rebuilding the starter. :(
