New shocks and lift ques

I want to put new shocks on my 97 sport, but I also plan on lifting it about 2" when ever a kit comes out. Will I have to get new shocks If I lift it our will shocks made for stock hight work with the lift.

Depends on if it's a body or suspension lift. You won't have to with a body lift (depending on height; I have stock size Bilsteins with a 3") but probably will with a suspension
