Hi guys! Im sorta new, meaning I have been around on this site for awhile now, TONS of good information, seems like lots of good people here, excited to get around and join and say hello!
My name is Phil. I live in west michigan. I own a black 2013 Ex Limited and right now im shy of 115,000 miles. Today I got flowmaster 40 series installed (will post this again in "what did you do to 5th gen today"). I have also installed blind spot on side mirrors, and window rainguard/vents, and a class 3 trailer hitch.
The issues I have had with it, for as long as I own it (2 years in oct), is a couple of things, one of them is the back window blew out unexpectedly in the winter, insurance covered it, but they didnt cover the rear wiper motor. Glass got put in it, and now the motor dont work. my front bearings going out, I changed the drivers side, with the old bearing seized in the knuckle, after 2 days of beating on it, I pulled the knuckle off, and less than 15 min, a local tire shop popped it out for me at no charge. The front crash sensor in the bumper is not working, I cant remember the name of the part, but found out it was over 800 dollars just for the part!
other than that, I love this suv! no problems in the snow, and lots of room! This is my 2nd Ex, my first one was a 02 xlt 2wd. I also owned 3 other rangers and a pos dodge journey. I have to say tho on how limited mods are for my '13. I feel like I need to be creative if I want certain things done to it. but overall I love this car!
