Hi, im Shawn, 18yrs old, and i just bought my 94 explorer Sport bout 2 weeks ago. I would like to get into offroading and mudding but i truthfully dont know where to begin. As far as i know its 100% stock but i doubt that with it being stock, that its tough enough to handle some offroad action. Bear with me as i dont know much about cars in general. What kind of suspension upgrades and such do i need? Im not planning on doing any hardcore 4x4ing, but still. Im going to take pics of it right now and ill post it in a few min.

You got a good setup already with the manual hubs. You can do a 2" spacer/shackle lift for under 200 bucks (including alignment) and it's not all that hard. I've run it on mine for awhile and while i have some rock rash it has made it a good deal better. Also look into a set of lockers. If you have an open diff in the rear you can just put a lunchbox in. You do have a open in the front (all explorers do) so you could put one in there as well. You'll be fine with a 31" tire, depending on the ratio you could go bigger without too much power loss. Lots of info on here...just look!

well you lost me on alot of that, but my friends dad is a Mechanic and will probably know what ur talking about lol.

Start searching aroudn the site. You'll catch on fast! ;) Your truck won't be too bad in stock form with the oversized ATs, if you get rid of the step bars.

Also, um.. :D what size tires do you think i have? How do i check :S sorry but like i said im stupid when it comes to anything about cars

those do not look like stock tires on the tire there should be some numbers such as a stock tire is a 235 75r 15

Look at the tire itself. It should say something like 31x10.5x15

You're not gonna figure it out unless you get off the computer and go look :p Most of the stuff is simple. You just have to take the time to look at it :p
