thought i would just post and say hey..I'm Mark, 21, from NY and I just bought a fully loaded 97 xlt explorer and i love it! what a great truck..

does anyone on the site have pics of a explorer with 31s and no lift kit??

Welcome to the site! Here's my 98 with 31's, it has a TT and shackles so basically 1.75" of lift.

thanks a lot.. with the lift how does it handle on highway?? this explorer is my "beater" i guess.. Right now i own 3 camaros, a wrangler and a 77mgb (i rebuilt them all from the ground up).. so the explorer will be used mainly to get around and from NY to school (RI, URI).. do you think a 2 inch lift is worth it or will the 31s lift the truck enough?

2'' lift was like $150 all together, so yeah i think its worth it and the ride is alot firmer!
TT= free
shackles= $65 shipped
alignment = $50-$75

I went with the autozone shackles, cost me all of about $20 bucks. And the TT was obviously free. So it was definately worth it, $20 for 2"+ but its the tires that kill ya hahah
