I love the 500r Ninja.

NICE !

Good luck on your first bike.

If anyone says you need more cc, smack them in the head.

I remember the 250 ninja...that sucker rocked.

NICE BIKE!

hey thanks!
i dont think i need any more cc as of now!
it has the power to speed up and down any interstate!
and thats all that i need! im not wanting to do a wheelie at 80 down the road, so.
but today i got mad! i droped it on the asphault!
broke the turn signal lens a lill bit, scratched the tail pipe, and i chewed up the fairing a lill bit, so now i needa find a new fairing!

Yep when i got my first bike gsxr 600 in 1999 I dropped her the first week... . I am only 5'6" and cant plant my feet flat. So a few times I just slipped and lost the balance (all at stops). Do they make sliders for that model? that will save you if you drop her again. I was so inexperience then...lol

Sorry to hear that, How did it happen? ride her like that till you get good. Don't go messing up a replacement fairing. Its already hurt so leave it for a while.

Don't follow the crowd and speed and stuff its not worth it..i know first hand...

nice, bikes a so fun i love them. its also really nice at the lights when you go to the front ;) lol. sucks about laying it down, you ok? i agree with leaving it that way till your better. almost grantee it won't be the last time. you have any pics of the damage? I'm on a 650 sv right now, but it needs more power to me. lol so in September i will be getting a triumph daytona 675 :). ride safe and keep the shinny side up.

well im deff going to be leaving the damadge on there, i dont ahve the cash for a replacement!
and im ok, the bike was near stoped, it was a stupid mistake made by me.

i was riding home on a back road, and i was in my reserve tank cause i got low on gas, was planing on a refill later that day nearer home!
but it decided to die on me, so i was pushin it, and i got to a hill no since and pussing it down a hil, i hade it in nuetral, and when i went to hope back on i kicied it into 1st!
and i was only half on it, so it just puled right outa my hands and slamed on the asphault!
and it eat the fairing, and scratched and brok some of the turn signal, and it dented my tail pipe a lill bit that one makes me real mad, they are all perty and chrome and now one has a small dent!
i didnt fall, if only me and not the bike lol!

but lesson learned, keep feet far far away from shifter when pushing! lol

i already want a faster bike! but i know for now i should learn all the tricks to riding on this bike! i mean this bike can do a wheelie! and it can go pretty good! so i dont think right now i should progress ito a faster bike!

any one know of a good pipe for a paralell twin???
cause the ones i have heard sound like a four wheeler!
my cousin has an 88 R1 and its a paralell twin, yes granted it has 500 cc more, but he has some pre. pipes on it, he said at a higher rev it sounds like the real bikes! and thats what im in search for! i dont mide the idle i like it puttin, but at a hight rev i wana hear them pipes sing!
any ideas?

sometimes the simplest things can lead to a dropped bike.

How long you been riding?

I have a Triumph TT600 now. unfortunately it has been sitting for 3 years in a garage. I just buggered my fuel system and will have to pull my injectors and fuel pump this in a month or so. Its all gummed up.
tt6002.jpg

This is the exact color and model. Got 1700 miles on it...lol. Gonna have to ride her again.

I rode my friends Ninja 900cc and the power is insane. No need for it.

If your new at riding pick this book up. It teaches some very good habits.
Wish I practiced what I read before I crashed.

thats a sick bike man!
i have only been rding for about a week! im really new to it all, i have ridden dirtbikes and fourwheelers and such!
same basics, sept when u fall, it sucks 20 times worse!

one thing that i love about riding is the chicks haha!
i used to drive my 92 explorer, its ok, needs alot of work, checks dont exactly dig the truck, but man, i get looks alot, people always asking about it and wanting to see it! its a great thing! i have never had something this nice before and i tell u, its amazing!

where can i pick that book up at? any place? ebay???

Yeah when i had my gixxer I had girls ask for rides all the time.

Dude....check yourself with the speed. and wear gear all the time. I wear leather gloves, jacket, denim and boots and full face helmet when I ride. No matter how hot it is.

I crashed on a day when I decided to not wear my gear and did something stupid.

I also met the wrong dudes on my first month of riding and used to speed everywhere. Be careful!!! I did super stupid things while trying to keep up to my buddies. I have 2 close calls and finally one huge crash. Don't mean to be negative, but its worth saying. Ride safe!!!. Wish I listened to the some of the good riders I met and not my ahole "friends"

Get that book it has lots of tips that will help you deal with emergencies and all other aspects of riding a bike, like apex, panic stops and counter steering

here is the link for the book

The TT600 was plagued with fuel injection issues....lol. But she rides nice. and came stock with steel break lines. Handling is very nice. I have seen 90mph with her for a second or 2...lol. Thats it though.

man I love riding. Its just you and the bike and no one to bug you.
Now your making me bike sick.... .
Ok thats it time to fix her and at least drive her a bit. The wifey doesn't want a some bonehead to run me over.

Good luck man. Be safe. Wear your gear.

Don't worry about how fast your buddy is going or how fast your bike can go. Worry about how what speed is good for you and never more than that.

well i thakn u for all this info man, i really apretiate it!
and i wear a helmet at all times! no mater what, im in need of a matching jacket! and i wear blue jeans every ride, no mater the heat!
and as soon as i decide on the jacket i am getting gloves!

and i try and keep my speed to a minimal, i know its my first bike and all i want to do is speed, but i can afford to lose my permit, and i cant afford the ticket!

and as of now i dont ahve any riding buddies, one of them is selling his stuff so he can get one, and my brother is trying to get one aswell! hes looking to get an r6, he lies the look of it, and the feal, i have never riden anything sept for mine, and im dying just to see how the r6 rides and handles!

welp im outa here, goodday to u! and once again thanks for the input, im always open for more!

i would bet the r6 will feel like twice the bike :)

No problem man.

From experience is were I am coming from. The wrong crowd can get you in trouble and inexperience will lead to a crash. You would be surprised how that SUV that looked so far away can be a 3 feet away in the next glance when your going above 120mph (yep almost ate it that time)

If your looking for ridability and comfort you got the right bike. My Gixxer used to leave my hands numb after 30 minute non stop ride and sitting with your feet back puts lots of pressure on your wrists. IT was good though when you wanted to feel some girl pressure from behind.....just squeeze the brakes a little harder...:D and she was all over me...

My triumph is much more comfortable and handles just as good if not better. My riding position is more upright and my feet are under me and not behind me.

I hear you about the permit. I got a violation once for a turn then another for riding with a permit.

The bike test was easy. Just take a class and use THEIR bike not yours. the Honda cruiser I used for the test was a little weird to get used to, but easier to ride. It would have been hard doing figure 8s and the circles on idles and clutch alone (no throttle) on my bike.

Try to find a track around you and get your speed frustrations out there.

Good luck man have fun!!!! That is a nice bike.

thanks alot trucku.
i hope all this talk helps me not get stupid on the road, i know now that im getting a feel for the bike im starting to do dummer things.
still try and keep it safe in traffic and such.
i think next month im taking the abate class so i dont have to wory about night driving!
and i can go around and give chicks rides :D haha
