Am actively searching for an Explorer to buy. Wife has an Expedition and I have to get something she can drive, too. I need a daily driver and have always liked the Explorer and I've always been a Ford guy, with the one exception when I owned a Pontiac back in the 70's. Won't repeat THAT mistake.

Hope to learn about the various model/years and find a good daily driver.

If your budget is only a few thousand a second generation (95-01) V8 would be the most reliable.
