I did some searching and can't find anything, I'm looking at a 2002 ST, haven't had a chance to look at it in person just pics so far, but from the pictures i have seen, there is no knob the the right of the radio that would control the rear power window. am i missing something here, is there another location for the control?

thanks, Bryan

here is a picture if this helps...

Yeah, IIRC there were some early ST's that didn't come with the power rear window. I don't think I'd buy one without it, I use mine all the time.

that really sucks, I'm hoping to look at the truck tomorrow so i hope to find out for sure, i figured it had it since the back window is 3 pieces.

thanks for the help...

Yeah, that back window is one of the key things I really liked about the Trac back when I bought mine about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't think I could go back to not having a power rear window, so helpful in many ways other then just wind, hauling stuff, etc...

youre lucky.. mine doesnt work :(

Fix it. We'll help.

Actually I'd prefer that mine didn't have it, rarely use it, gets left open @ vent when someone else drives it ...... :thumbdwn:

I've already looked at that thread about the power rear window.. But nothing worked. I tried the actIvation thing and nOthing.. So idk what should i do ? What part would I be looking for If I replace it?

Is your 2001 a Job 1 or a Job 2?

Did you look at the truck? Something is not right there. If, IF I SAY, it was an early 01 Job 1 I can see there not being a power window. All 2002's should have power windows. Do you have the VIN of the truck? Post it or PM it to me?

i think it says, September of 2000, so thats Job 2 right?

Yes, it should be a Job 2.

Check fuses F2.20 (7.5A) under dash box and F1.3 (30A) under hood box? Those both go directly to the motor. If those are good then pop off the radio bezel and hook a jumper wire to the Black/White wire to a good ground. Then try it again. All of the control wires coming from the switch are grounds.

ncranchero, this is SportTracRollin, i changed my email and made a new account and name. but ill get back with you once i take a look at it, thanks.

i did look at it, it had no knob there but the spot above where the label is at had a piece of tape similar to electrical tape covering up the tab that said up and down. the dealer didn't know anything about sport trac's so they were no help. I didn't get it tho, bought an '03

On my Ranger, it is a port to power accessories @ phone charger, hand held lamp,etc....

Okay, we checked the fuses, and turns out my F1.3 is blown. We took the 30A one for the "Windows/Roof" and tried it in the 3 position and we got power in the wires, however.. we plugged them into the switch, and the switch has no light, and nothing happens when we push/turn it. Which leads us to believe that after replacing the fuse its probably the switch with the knob in it. Easy to replace?

A bit confusing what you did......

Remember, there is no power in the switch except for the illumination (RD/BK). All other wiring is grounds. Check the grounds behind the kick panels. You may need to check the wiring at the connector near the window motor with a volt/ohm meter to verify the ground signals from the switch.
