No cool or cold air when using the blend knob?

Ok, I just replaced the heater core on my '96. Took the whole dash out to do it, just like the directons state. Put everthing back together just like it came out. Now then, with everthing put back together, I was driving and went to just turn on the vent. Nothing but hot air came out. It seems like when you adjust the blender knob, you hear nothing opening up or changing and only hot air coming out. All positons work on the other knobs(floor/def, floor/dash and so on.) The air conditioner blows cold cold air. I just cannot adjust between cool and hot. Any ideas? This has me stumped.

It seems now that the ac dosen't work either? I can switch between all positions. I have searched but haven't found anything out.

Blend Switch Problem

I have the same problem. '97 XTL, all heat no cool. Trace the problem to the blend door actuator. This contorl the door for heat or cool.Which is located behind the glove box. But cannot get to the back screw to remove the screw. Hope this can help. Also if anyone can tell me how to remove the back screw, i'am all ears.
