95 EB 4x4. Hit the highway today, suddenly no cruise control. No problems before. I press the "on" pad, then I press the " set" pad. The only thing that happens is the "set cruise" blips on for a milli-second then goes out. No cruise. ANy hints on where to start trouble shooting??
Thanks

check the vacuum cable for the cruise control servo under the hood. thats what happened with mine.

Does your horn work?
Reason I ask is that my horn was going bad and finally quit. Fuse blew. For some reason that fuse, in the underhood fuse box, also took out the cruise. Replaced the fuse and the cruise worked. Manual says nothing about there being a connection between the two, but there is. Hope that this is it cause the cruise system on 2nd. Gen Xs is electronic and difficult to fix.

Horn works fine. vaccum lines ( what I can see) appear to be hooked up. BTW, how many miles of f#@** V.lines does Ford need to use?? lol

what about your brake lights? i have heard that the cruise control system is hooked up to the resistance in the brake lights (somehow) if you have one or more burned out bulbs, the system will fail to work. who knows if its true, but it never hurts to try.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is a brake pedel switch under the dash that could be bad or out of place. Good luck...
