Hi All--
First if a moderator wants to change or delete this post in any way feel free to do so as I am not sure my title is the most accurate. I am making this post to try and help someone as this site has been a tremendous help to me.
On my 2005 Explorer every-time I activated the rear windshield fluid nothing would come out on the window however the fluid would spill from the rear wheel well on the passenger side. From searching here I know this is a common problem however the guides on the repair are about six years old and the photo links are no longer active. As I was replacing my rear blend door actuator I followed the same guide for removing the interior panels and locating the break in the fluid line.
As was mentioned in the thread from six years ago the line simply became disconnected and with a zip tie I was able to easily repair it. Below I will link the guide for the blend door repair as the steps for removing interior panels are the same--just remember you are removing the panels on the passenger side of the car.
As you can see by the picture-sorry for the quality- the line becomes disconnected right inside the liftgate directly below the window
Here is the guide for the panel removal. Remember for the rear windshield washer repair this procedure will be performed on the passenger side of the Explorer.
