Hello,
the other day, the high beam switch stopped working, the instant high beams do work, when I pull the switch back, if I want to keep them on, the switch moves (towards the direction of the engine) but they remain working the low lights not the high beam.
Is there a way to disassemble and repair the switch?
Thanks for the comments!!

You're talking about a multi-function switch like found on 2nd gen explorers?

I took apart the one on my '98, relubed it and put it back into service, but it didn't have that issue, rather the turn signals were getting erratic. If it is just gunked up with hardened grease, it may help to clean that out and relube with silicone grease, and use some metal polish on the contacts where possible to clean those up.

Mine had a few, maybe 5 or so torx head screws, but a spring plate may pop out when you open it, so have it lying on a table and open the shell slowly. Again this is just for my '98 multi-function switch. The pictures I'm seeing on Rock Auto for Dorman's version for a '94, look different so I don't know how much of the above applies.

If it can't be repaired, you might find get generics around $30 on Amazon or major 3rd party brands around $60 on Rock Auto.
