well as i found out a couple of weeks ago my 97 explorer does not have any tie down hooks or anything which made it hard to tow my buddies s-10 and other old chevy ***** in the deep snow!!!! i was wondering if there was any bolt on product that was worth spending my money on and that will hold up to towing and other stuff

thanks guys

For the rear, if it's a 4x4, it should have come from the factory with a tow loop on the driver's side frame rail. It's not the strongest thing out there, but it works for light stuff.

For the heavy pulling, you'll want a frame-mounted hitch. $100 from any decent hitch installer.

For the front.....?? Can;t help much there....

Only the Sport 4x4s have the factory rear tow hook.

yea i got an awd xlt

You can get tow hooks. You just drill a couple holes and bolt them on. Only problem is that frame rails are UBER hard to drill through, a good bit, oil, and alittle of muscle and you'll get through though :D
