no0b here, just bought a 98 xlt 5.0

1700 bones, 166k miles. runs good, interior looks very good. no pics yet, looks just like every other 98 xlt. im looking forward to being an active member here, as well as learning more about this new to me truck.

if anything id say street truck, its 2wd, and was not bought to go off road. a little more hp is always nice. a nice little exhaust rumble is nice. im thinking, and correct me if im wrong, but being the 5.0 motor, a little exhaust and it would sound nice. maybe some wheels....stuff i can hide from the wife is easier to aquire!
