I have noticed after I seafoamed my engine that my catalytic converters are making a "clank" (tin can sound) when the engine is warming up. My computer is not throwing any codes, but should I be concerned ... are these things gonna go bad anytime soon??

Have you checked to see if the heat shields are loose? If so they can be secured with a large hose clamp.

I have come to find that on the cats theres a little metal tag inback of the heat sheild that happens to fall off, its held by two rivets if one of them breaks it starts to buzz every now and then and if both break then its annoying as hell. i just hit it a few times and knocked mine out, but luckly both rivets were burnt off. its really nothing to worry about.

If it's not a loose guard outside, it's likely loose ceramic inside, in which case it's time to replace. Put a piece of wood against it, if it stops or quiets down that's your problem.

I will have them checked next time is on a lift ... it seems to me that it's coming from inside the cats 'cause the noise only happens when the car is warming up.

I'd say it's the ceramics then, more of a nuisance than an operational problem...
