Just getting started with the group and beginning the build on our bought new in 99’ Explorer XLT 4X. Body on frame, solid platform going from grocery getter to some not to serious overlanding and general BLM camping. We already love the site. Looking forward to learning from You all, so far it looks like a great collection of ideas and how too’s. Thanks in advance
I looked around and found this forum and am stoked about repurposing the Exp. by lifting it this week after rebuilding front end, picked up some pro comp faux bead lock black steel 15X8 wheels for a good price, tires will be 31 X 10.50 X 15 maybe Goodyear Wranglers to start as this is not a daily driver anymore. Will remove 2nd row seats for more interior storage as I plan to build out the rear to include removable storage for cooler, cooking gear etc. on drivers side, sleeping on passenger side.
