Howdy all. I've been a member of this forum for years and this is my first post. I've recently acquired a 98 Exploder Sport for the low low price of absolutely FREE! The 4 liter SOHC has a nice rod knock in it.
Im currently in the process of stripping the beast down to the bare bones and am going to start a ground up build on it and this seemed like a good place to get actively involved with to get answers.
I've already sold the 8.8. My tentative plan is to put in an Explorer 5 liter, c6 and some type of gear driven transfer case. I've still not yet decided to go with a HP44/9" combo or going right to 1 tons.
I think for now, out of simplicity I'm going to put leaves in the front.
I need to figure out what to use for leaves for the front and for the back also. I have a Jeep TJ right now, so my experience with leaf springs is minimal!
Anyhow, nice to be an official member of the community and ANY and ALL advice will be greatly appreciated.
