Hey guys ended up getting another Mustang so I gave my parents the Explorer who sold it to my sister. She started having issues with it so I could use your help. I tried to search but all the ones I looked at said there was no driving issues.

The other day the O/D light started blinking and my sister said it was acting funny. Her and my mom went to the store and my mom called and said it was thumping really bad. I took it out later that night and it seems like the thump is when you're slowing down, maybe the 2nd to 1st shift?? It thuds pretty loud and it jerks the whole car. It seems like it's coming from the rear. I took a look under it and there's a hose hanging from above the rear axle. Not sure where it comes from.

Does this sound like the solenoid issue i read about in the other threads or a bad TC, or something else?

I'm hoping for an easy fix that you guys are gonna say hook that hose back up and it will be fine lol.

I figured beings I was still a member here I'd save her and my bro in law the trouble of trying to figure it out, and maybe save some cash not having to take it to get looked at. Any incite would be great

Im actualy looking for the same answer on this question for my friend. Her 95 is doing the same thing.

Well they took it to the local garage and he said it sounded the the TC. However it went away on it's own after a couple days. Maybe your friend will get lucky and it will go away

I hope so.....she already spent way to much money getting this X on the road. And now the front hub assembly just went out too. $$$$$$$

Had a similar problem and it turned out to be the fluid pressure solenoid in the valve body of the transmission. That is the expensive one, about $120 for a new one.
