My bank 1 sensor 2 is not working properly and has caused the check engine light to come. When shopping for a new sensor is it best to pick-up an original ford part? Also, are all the O2 sensors physically the same and are they all calibrated the same?

Thank!

I've had shortly-after-replacing CEL issues with the "universal" type sensors, i.e. Bosch from the auto parts chains on some vehicles that were cured forever by using a specifically programmed Motorcraft sensor (reading tolerances are sometimes different). I ordered mine from Rockauto, they were like $5 more vs. the Bosch 02's. ($35.00-ish)

Thanks!

How will I know what one to order for bank 1 sensor 2?

Is bank 1 sensor 2 upstream or downstream?
