ODB2 App (Android) that shows Transmission Temperature

I really want to find a better app than Forscan (just because I'm not a fan of how they show the gauges). I would rather something more customizable, but every one I've looked at that is customizable or better looking - the Trans Temp doesn't come through

Anyone have experience with one of the other apps that could do this?

It works well with Forscan, I would just like a better dashboard. Essentially I'm watching trans temperature + engine temperature while transporting a pop-up trailer to make sure that nothing is going wrong.

Why not just get a set of actual gauges to monitor the temperatures?

I'm not sure, tell me more The ODB2 interface is easy and the data is already there from the sensors - so it was my first thought. But, that doesn't necessarily mean it is the best option.

I haven't done one on my Explorer but I am sure that either a member here or that there is a YouTube video of someone who has. For the transmission you would want a sensor that is submerged in the fluid in the pan for the best readings.

The gauge can either be mechanical or electrical with the electrical one being the easiest one to install.

The water temperature would be the same way with the sensor placed into the water jacket or even T ed into the same location that the factory sensor is located.

As for what manufacture of gauges, ISSPRO and Autometer are two of the best and are used quite often by owners of Ford diesel trucks.

Then you just need to decide where to place the gauge pod.
