Hello All,

Anyone have a suggestion of what I might check for to resolve this elusive engine error code from my 98 Explorer 3.8L that says P0183 Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit High Input? I went over the wiring schematic numerous times and there is no actual Fuel Temperature sensor.

h3k, I would erase that code and see if it returns. You are correct in the definition of P0183, and I think it must refer to a diesel application.

I have no idea why it would show up in an Explorer, other than possibly a faulty PCM.....? Does it run OK? If the code returns after erasure, you might try unplugging the PCM and spraying the connectors with WD-40.

Did you mean to say 4.0L?
