Odd tranny leak

If I don't have a hose on the tranny vent would that cause the tranny to leak from their? When I'm on the freeway I start leaking fluid from somewhere around that vent but I'm not sure if it is coming from their or not.

You could be overfilled and/or it's getting too hot and leaking from the vent.

It's not overfilled and shouldn't be overheating.
