So, I am on a business trip in Indiana and Michigan. The navigation stopped working last night.

Won't list any POI's. Won't plot my driving directions. Map is stuck. Got the "black screen of death" about 5 tmes saying Sync is doing scheduled maintenance. Nothing.

Haven't used MapQuest in over 6 years. Wow, they use a small font for their printed directions.

Got to my hotel in Grand Rapids about an hour ago, and decided to pull the fuse (#29 I think). Can't find the fuse box. Call the dealership, they said it's in the passanger footwell area. Can't find it. Owner's Manual says it's left of the steering wheel by the brake. Can't find it.

So, where is the fuse box? What fuse number?

Dealership says to try the system reset on the screen. I did that knowing I'd lose all my "favorite" navigation settings (about 50 important locations and addresses). That was the bad news.

Good news, is that it is working again.

Wonder what happened? I have a pretty new version (December 2012) of Sync. Everything had been working so well the past year/year and a half.

Hi Bill. Glad it is working for you again. The fuse box is on the driver's side up above the emergency brake area. The picture I have attached is one where the 5 digit entry code is found. If I recall, the fuse box is above it and to the left. It is fuse #29. This is the only picture I have in my album right now of that area. If you can get at it, you are much more flexible than I am.

Thanks, Peter. No way can I reach in that area. I might not ever get up, once I wedged myself in there.
