OHV or SOHC ?????????

got a 93 eb but the engine has been replaced. we think it needs timeing and i need to know if it has 1 or 2 chains. anyway to look at the engine and tell. we timed one and it didnt fix it so we need to know if theres another chain or to start figuring out whats wrong with it

Unless someone did quite a bit of custom work, its an OHV motor. The SOHC motor is a different shape and was never put into a 1st Gen X.

CMP sensor

If the camshaft position (CMP) sensor is located in the driver side valve cover its an SOHC with 3 or 4 (balance shaft) timing chains.
