I am wondering if anyone with the 2.3 eb has been able to figure out how to check tranny fluid using filler access. I’ve seen videos of other Ford tranny’s with the short dipstick and thinking one of those, or any other size dipstick, could be used to make a “full” inch measurement from top of filler tube. Experiencing hard shifting at low speeds and really don’t want to take it to stealership for a flush. 62k mileage and don’t think it’s ever been done since I’m second owner.

Welcome to the Forum.
I was not able to find any posts regarding your question.
Most owners seem to prefer a drain and fill rather than a flush. They do a drain and fill several times to ensure most of the old fluid is removed.
A flush could lead to other issues.

Yeah, don’t want to take it in unless I have to. I don’t know if unit is low on fluid so I’ll pull fill plug and see. I just want to be able to easily monitor fluid level to see if it’s using any. Thanks for reply.
