Ok is this fair for 5.0 wires $92.99?

Ok,

I am really interested in the Taylor wires and I didnt some research here and found Truckperformance to be recomended a lot.

I checked their site and it looks as though they are asking a pretty penny more for the 8 cylinder version than the 6 cyl. like twice as much.

Anybody have some pointers as to where else to search.... This is our first Real Truck (previously the wife drove a 4 cyl Ranger with 8 spark plugs) and I havent done much research for truck parts in the past.

Any help would be great I dont see any plugs at explorer express. although i am probably going to pick up a MAC intake from him.

The price depends a lot on what brand wires you are looking at.

I paid something around $50 for Accel 8.5 mm wires for my V-8.

98 and up 5.0 wires are expensive. $80 or so from NAPA. Plus no shipping.
IMHO the 5.0 is not a performance engine as it sets in the explorers. Therefore performance wires are not really going to do anything more than lighten your wallet.

I paid $80 for my Taylor wires from Summit. Make sure you call to order, that way you'll get the right wires for your truck.

i paid 49 for my 9mm Ford Racing Wires, for my 5.0...they seems to work excellent so far

that sounds about right for the peformance wires

i paid close to 70 bucks for stock wires from a Ford dealership for my t-bird with the 4.6 liter V8, the motor is a OHC, so the plugs have to go into the head

Well,

I like to do a tune up to every vehicle I buy when i plan on keeping it a while. That way i know where everything stands and I can get used to the vehicle running at its peak.

So thes wires are just part of what I do. The Ford 9mm racing wires sound perfect where did youget them from 955.0hO?

I will check the dealer for those wires and you guys are all a great help.
