Old, but new to you

Hello everyone , on discovering your site and browsing I new I had to sign on. I guess I’m on the other side of the pond to most of you here in Sheffield England. I have several Range Rovers a Chevy camper van and an Explorer North Face having recently sold my Ranger. The RRovers are used and abused off road to destruction, these I can fix, the Explorer was bought as salvage and I have about finished rebuilding it. I have several problems which is why I was searching in the first place, here in the UK there is a lack of info on the SUVs even the dealers are like mushrooms. The most important problem is the auto box doesn’t select reverse and doesn’t seem that good in drive. Test drove today and after about a mile OD light started flashing! I have read quite a few threads and seams possible VB rebuild could be on. May need some photo or diagram help on this you terminology and component names differ from our here in the UK.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll find the solutions to your problems on this site! I can't help you with your gearbox probs but there's bound to be somebody along in a minute who can!
Don't forget to look in the UK Explorer Owners section of the site - you'll find quite a few Explorer experts in there who are on the right side of the Atlantic to help you out if needs be.
