I'll start off by saying I'm sorry.

I've been poring over all the diaries, and trying to sponge up all I can. One question that keeps popping up for me, is how much of this is applicable to the 2005 end of the 02-05 5r55 transmissions??

For instance, I have read about a correction kit. Is this kit already incorporated into my 05?

I posted instead of PM because I had hopes this might clear things up for some other owners.

Thanks,

-Shawn

right.

I understand no valve body...

What I am asking, is, is there a need to install that correction kit in the later transmissions?

Like, there is a few identified problems in the 5R55E/S. Did Ford pay attention, and incorporate the fixes into the /W?

If I install the correction kit in a 05 /W, would I just be replacing parts with the same parts?

I think the kits were intended for valve bodies with a little wear since they could leak, and lose hydraulic pressure. Some examples of this are with the Sonnax O ringed end plugs or the O ringed boost valve. A little material gets taken out of the bore with use (the EPC & TCC modulated solenoids are known for this). Cleaning the VB with wire brushes also takes out a small amount of material even if it's not much.
