Opinions wanted, I need to pick your brain

I have been offered a 1992 4x4 4.0L 5 spd manual for $650. Body is rotted, typical areas. Mechanically it is a good truck. Is it worth it? I considered purchasing it for the transmission, if I can confirm it would transplant into my 96 Explorer Sport 4.0L 4x4.

It will bolt up.depending on mileage I would try and get him down some on the price.I would say around $500, first gens are not worth very much, especially the earlier models 90-92
