Overall, how good is the X (95+) as an offroad veh?

On a relative basis, how good is the X as an off road veh.
WHat i mean by relative for example is stock vs. stock or with a simple lift and better tires...

A good friend and I often do some moderate trails, he has a Jeep (2002) and i have my 98X, and i have to say, we're about equal, other than approch angles, which i presume doens't matter once you get into serious lift...we seem to be able to handle obstacles of similar difficulty...

What do you guys think?Is the X as good as other trucks you often find modded for off-roading? (Of coruse i think it is, it's smaller than the big pickup's and narrower than jeeps...)

the x has IFS which hurts it big time. very capable vehicle especially with a few mods. i am one that will admit that a stock jeep will outperform an x in stock form on the right terrain though. the difference probably won't be noticed much though if your stock since neither of you will be tackling stuff too hard.
