Overheated

I have a 2002 ford explorer sport 78,000 miles...
The problem is when i have the a/c on sitting at a light or in traffic jam...
The air turns warm the truck overheats...When i shut the a/c off it goes back to normal....A couple months ago i replace the the thermostat..
Any ideas would be great hate to trade it in....

First off, welcome to the site. You may have a faulty thermostat. These are cheap, I'd start with that. Also, this is the emergency forum, please read the rules.
