Hey all,
The wife's 06 Mountaineer CEL came on the other day and was throwing a p0108 code which points to the MAP sensor which I believe is part of the EGR assembly located behind the throttle body. I popped the hood and before I got to the EGR assembly I noticed a problem with the electrical connector at the MAF sensor. The insulation on the wires was literally crumbling away and it was clear the bare wires were touching each other. As a temporary solution I taped up the wires to insulate from each other and cleared the code. All has been will for over 72 hours now, no p0108 code. Does this make any sense to anyone? How could a possible short in the MAF connector cause a MAP error code?
