i bought a set of pace setters for my navajo, i am ready to install them now but there are more ports for o2 sensors than my truck can provide. one on the Y pipe, where i intend the o2 sensor to go and there is additional screw in holes on both headers. the kit did not come with plugs for these additional holes. has anyone encountered this before? could i just put any bolt in there to seal it up or do i have to weld it? what type (metal) bolt should i put in there? i need some help please

The headers come with the bung fittings for EGR-equipped vehicles, so if yours doesn't have EGR, just put a bolt in there. I'd suggest stainless steel if you can get it, otherwise anything will do, the steel they make those things out of is just regular mild steel, not anything special. I wouldn't use strong high grade/class bolts, it's not necessary and you'd just be making them hard to drill/remove if they were ever stuck. You can either use a compession/crush washer or just some kind of flat washer with the bolt to help seal it, along with some anti-seize, both to keep it from getting stuck if it ever needs to be removed, and to help with the sealing as well.

Don't forget to remove the black coating they come with and repaint with high-temp paint. The black stuff that's on there now is just a coating to prevent rust during shipping, and will burn off if you leave it on there.

Thank you. Im going to get those bolts now. I got the paint off and i bought header wrap to put on them. Came with a spray seal to help prevent heat escape. I will paint over all that with high temp paint. First things first i have to plug those holes. Ill post more if i run into more issues. Thanks again.

I think the pacesetters are better and think cheaper.i have a thread on here comparing all the specs.

Just so you all know headers on a stock 4.0 ohv showed no power gains.

Thanks for the link.
I just sat down and read the whole thing and your adventures. I am having such a hard time with the bolts on the in between pipe on the driver side. I have a half in drive plug in monster impact drill i inherited from my wife's ex husband : ) but of corset he didn't leave me any actual sockets n such for it. So just picked those up.
Im still getting everything ready for the swap. I already have the MF cat and the FM installed so hopefully it will go smooth. How did you figure the extension pipe on the ??drivers side?? Did you pull the original headers off first then match them up?
I want to wrap all that up with the header wrap i have but i figured i would ask how you did it. I am also trying to avoid cutting just in case something goes wrong.
