Panasonic CQ-DF601

Just getting your guys thoughts on that HU. For christmas my parents are going to get me a headunit and after some consideration I think the Panasonic 601 looks pretty good. It lists for 339 in crutchfield but i got a guy who can get it for me for 220 so i think thats what im gonna get. Anyone have any expirience with this HU? Thanks for your input i really appreciate it.

I have the PANASONIC CQ-FX721N which is a similar model and am very satisfied with it.
It has a killer sound and the Dot Matrix LCD looks amazing.

If most of your music is in mp3 format like mine - over 30 Gigs here - you will find this feautures very handy:

- AUX input : perfect if you have an mp3 / md player and you want to hook it up.
I connect my ipaq with a 1 Gig microdrive to it and have hours of pure mp3 enjoyment. Forget about that stinky cassete adaptor ; ))

- CD-R / CD-RW playback

I made a quick search in Dead Link Removed and saw that cityelectronic has it for 216 dollars.

panasonic makes a great hu. i have the cq-df600u and love it. it does not have anything fancy but it lights up blue (matches my interior lights) and i love the outputs for the sub. much better than splicing in older hu's

it's an awesome headunit. i dont have it, but i have installed it in a few cars. everyone loves it. i have heard nothing but good things about it. great choice for looks and performance.

i have a panasonic head unit (cant remember model but check my sig.) i love it, got it about a year ago soon after they started makin their silver faced "night glow" head units. i am about to get the same 601 your lookin at or maybe the 701.

Ive got the 601 and it is great, i just need to get an amp for my highs since it starts to get distorted when turned up about 3/4's of the way. Thank God for that Christmas money!
