PCM fuel flow

Im getting the message center into my X now, the question may seem dumb but Id rather be safe than sorry especially when messing with electrical stuff. Im supposed to take a wire from the M/C and put it into pin 43 of the PCM, there is already a wire there, do I take that out and put the message center wire in and just crimp off the old one? Or is there something else Im to do?
