2017 Explorer Sport
I picked up our new to us 2017 Explorer Sport out in Washington this past weekend. It is practically like new and now has 14000+ miles.

Things I like-Love the power, nice to have when needed. Love the technology. We got the 401A equipment group. The BLIS is great since the B pillar is pretty big and tends to block the view. Heated steering wheel. never thought I would like it but the weather has been below zero. It warms up pretty quick. Fuel MPG varies on how fast you really want to drive. The closer you get the 80 the MPG's tend to drop pretty quick.

Things I don't like-Small gas tank. We have an Excursion which is 44 gallons so getting used to the 18.6 gallon tank will take some time. Don't care for the larger B pillar but it is what it is. Thankful for BLIS. Road Noise can get pretty high when on crappy paved roads, like in Washington. Maybe think of using a sound deadening material in the future.

This thing will take some getting used to and lots to learn. I thought my 2002 Excursion PSD had all of the bells and whistles when I bought it in 2004. Not even close!!!

Yes these vehicles truly are amazing. We love the power we get out of them and if not heavy in the gas you also get an increase in mileage off of a tune also. I just like the fact you can get great hp gains for cheap. Great pick up man and enjoy. Let us know if you have any questions.

I agree on the tank, closer to 25gal would be nice. I also like BLIS (mine is one of very few PIUs ordered with it), however, as with any such technology, be careful not to let it lull you into a false sense of security. From my experience the radar beam is pretty narrow, so there will be vehicles far enough off to the side where BLIS won't pick them up, nor will they be immediately visible to you, because of the aforementioned B-Pillar, so stay vigilant. I'm not a big fan of the side warning component of the reverse sensing system. WAAAAY too sensitive. Often times it keeps screaming long after the intruder has long passed.

Considering the object is still passing from one side to the other and within range, it will continue to scream.LOL

Have used these on all my vehicles for the past 50+ years.
