Pictures of my New Dual Exhaust and How It Was Ran...And I Kept The Spare!

Sam, check up on the warranty for the muffler shop. On the bill statement they should of listed exactly what was used. Some times shops rip people off assuming they know nothing about what they are getting. Find out what they say theyve given you, and well go down to my buddys muffler shop and see if what they said they gave you is correct.

Magnaflows I've heard have a deeper low tone to them compared to Flows.

But after getting Mags on my compact car, I'm sorta wondering how Flows would of sounded, because I really dont like how it sounds, its too ricey, but at the same time it sounds nice at certain RPMs

AfBoy, dont remove the cats, I did, it sounds different, but at the same time I think it may have actually worsened my gas milage, next time I need a fill up im going to reinstall them and find out. And if it did infact worsen my gasmilage, thats a $120 loss on my behalf for finding out. Ill keep you informed on my findings, it may take a while because I wont be using my X as a daily driver anymore (bought a compact car).

P.S. A lot of my driving was freeway driving (75mph for 20 miles one way to work, not including street driving to get to the freeway), which isn't the best gas milage I could get on the freeway. 65 mph on the freeway would average 20mpg, but going 75 is like 17 or 18 (possibly even 16)depending on the road.
Having an onboard computer is cool, especially watching it go to 99mpg (maxed out) and finding Id get better milage driving in the city (24-28mpg)

Magnaflows are deeper eh? Hmm, My flowmaster sound nice and deep under 3k RPMS. Over 3k it gets a high pitched sound (gotta love v6's) Overall I love it. I guess I wont be removing thecats then, it sounds fine the way it is.

TTG > Im ALWAYS around, just dont post as much as I should.

heh my compact car exhaust is cool and different, doesnt sound anything like flows, but when i get on it, it sounds like a hot rod. i had a video clip when i was on the freeway recorded by Sam but dont have a direct link to it, its under my explorer registry thread

Oh LOl . Yes his name is Scotty and he owns a little shop here in tampa. Hes a retired guy who does exhaust for a living. Hes a good ol boy whos great to be with, youll have a blast while hes putting your exhaust on. He charges close to nothing for labor and will do it over and over until it is just right. He wont stop til your satified. Just buy a muffler and some tips and he will do the rest. His shop is in his back yard so its not like a "real shop" so he doesnt charge tax and all that bs, thats why its so cheap. If you want to give him a call, PM me and I will give you a number. Hes done everything from semis to civics and has done some pretty crazy work....let me know

oh wow this is my OLD thread, I dont even have that exhaust anymore. I guess photobucket decided to delete my pics... sorry
