Hey guys,
Just got done installing the M5OD against the engine out in the garage. I read in the shop manual to press the pilot bearing into the rear of the crank, so I did that despite having installed it in my flywheel the last time I replaced my clutch - Will this still perform in the correct manner? Is the Input shaft long enough that it is properly supported by the pilot bearing when it is pressed in the crank.
If the answer is no - Could I simply run a pilot bearing in the flywheel in addition to the pilot located in the crank?
Would hate to have to manhandle that trans back in line once more, but if it means having it function correctly I will.
