Please Help Guys

I have a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. It wont start, I replaced the battery, and the solenoid. The lights come on and dont dim. When I try to crank it, there is just one loud click. There are no multiple clicks just one. I am stranded. I dont know what to do

Sounds like your starter a click is either
Your relay or your starter silinoid i
Had civic that if i took a pipe taped the
Silinoid it would start sorry for the spelling
You try that to see if its getting stuck
Or just have the starter tested
