PLEASE HELP- location of oil sending unit on 2001 4.0L sohc --mines shot

I cannot seem to find the location of this oil sending unit/presure switch

this seems to be a common problem but I do not see any post relating to the location on the block. I have looked from top and underneath. please help me!!!

Look on the driver side of the block below the A/C compressor. It should have a single dark green/white wire going to it.
 






The only way you'll see it is from underneath... Lay to the driver's side of center, feet out the front of the car, and look up and to your right where rwenzing mentioned. You should see it pretty clearly. I could point it out in a second, but describing it is tough to do...

AWESOME-AWESOME-AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

I had to buy a 13/16 deep socket and get to it through the wheel well,
but I did it!!!!!

I love this car stuff- I wish I had done this earlier in life- think of all of the money I could have saved.

I just did a rear axle on my 2000 crown vic police interceptor (WHo da thunk)
and now this.

this is my 2nd explorer I had a 93 and now a 2001.. I just also got a
1990 Mustang GT convertible with only 38,000 miles on it.

As you can see I like FORDS.

do u have to take the front driver's side tire off?
