Please help me step through this process...

I've scavenged the boards but would really appreciate it if someone could detail the process once a dealer places the order with Ford?

I placed my order a week ago for a Limited, Platinum White/Black Charcoal, 4WD, 2nd row bucket/no console, fully loaded, dual DVD's.

What info can I request from my dealer?

The only info I have been able to put together is that I can get some sort of number from my dealer, a vin at some point, Seni might be able to track?, the window sticker will be available a few days before build, installation of Synch will signal completion of build, then an ETA?

I am driving a 02 Mercury Mountaineer, she has been great to me but I am really nervous about the delays for some on here. I would really like to stay on top of this process or it will drive me crazy!

Kim your order gets thrown in with all orders & dealers allocation.
Seems like a random process but according to Ford it's not.

You should have an order number & a dealer code number.
Folks have been getting their VIN #s anywhere from a 1 week to 9 weeks after order.
Once you get your VIN, a build date & ETA will follow.(again time varies).
4-6 days out from build date you should be able to see your window sticker.
Once built, you can see when your "brains" will be installed at www.syncmyride.com is usually within 48 hours of build)

Once you have a vin you can register at syncemyride..but it will say "Vin not valid" until the computer software is installed.
