I bought my 97 Explorer the other week, I went to the petrol station and filled it up. I did approximately 15 miles in it, then, I accelerated really hard from standstill.

The car cut out. The RAC came out and diagnosed a failure of the fuel pump.
I've since had the fuel pump replaced, along with the plugs and the crank sensor.

The car is now overfuelling and we can't get it to stop, any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Si

check the fuel pressure regulator...it is what tells the pump how much fuel to pump in. sounds like that may be the issue

cheers mate, It's in the dealers at the moment, hopefully they'll be able to sort it out, I just wanna get it back, I only had it 1 day before it died....

Si
