please help with locks

I am a newb here. I just purchased an 01 sport trac. It has a viper alarm system which I am going to take off. The problem I am having is that when I hit the door lock buttons weather it be on the door lock switch or the remote they lock. But when I hit unlock either way all my doors do not unlock. none of them do. Plus on top of that When I stick the key into the door lock on the drivers side it is hard to unlock like it gets binded up and the door lock rod pops off. Has any body had this problem. If so please let me know what it could be.

check the relays, behind right kick panel (top relay) if it's an early production truck. or it cound be under the dash, auxilary relay box 2.
