I am in need of desperate help. I am currently unemployed and my wife has just started a new job, we moved down from San Antonio with high hopes but have fallen on hard times. We don't have much money, just enough to get by week by week. Due to this I haven't been able to repair my brakes, and today it cost me big. The brake pad is completely gone, just steel on steel, and now the brake line popped off. Or ripped off. I have no tools, or the money for parts. So you can see where this is going. If you live in the corpus Christi area and can help me buy the parts, not fully just help cover what I cannot afford, and a place to do the work, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll help with the installation and pay you back when I can. I just cannot come close to being able to afford taking it to a shop. I know this is a long shot but hope someone can help. Now if this is in the wrong section please move it for me, and if it is not allowed to azk then I am sorry and please remove it for me. Thank you.

Good luck ! I know how tough times are/can be. There are lots of good EF folks down in your neck of the woods so maybe someone will have spare parts or be able to help you out.

I know there are good ppl round here, just hope they can help. I know everyone has their own problems to deal with.

From the looks of it, the leak is from the caliper. But all my brake fluid leaked out.

Alright, was able to get it. It was the caliper, cracked and fluid was running. After 2 hrs of bad services from autozone, and another hour of hot sun and asphalt, I got it. First time I have ever done brakes and am pretty happy with myself.

FEST4.0, sorry to hear of your trouble and really glad you were able to get it fixed so quickly.

It sucks that I'm up here in Pittsburgh and no other members live around me except JohhnyO because I'm always more then happy to help someone work on their vehicle. Everytime I see a vehicle on the side of the road I stop or if someone is broke down in traffic, etc.. but none of you guys live close to me.

I know how you feel about being on hard times, I haven't had a steady job for about two years now and my wife and I are expecting a baby in October. Hopefully things turn around for the both of us. Good luck with everything.

Yeah times are hard. Its been 2 months since I've seen my son, but maybe I can sooner now. I hope you get on your feet as well, and whenever you're down in tx let me know I'll make burgers

I used to drive OTR and I was always down in Tx., always wanted to meet up with other members from this site and others I'm on but never got the chance. If I ever get down that way I'll have to stop by.
